African Recycled Clear Glass Statement Necklace, Inlaid Nepalese Turquoise Brass Pendant, Tibetan Gold Ethnic Tribal Style Glass Necklace

by 123gemstones

African recycled clear glass bead statement necklace. This beautiful necklace is made with handmade Ghana glass beads and separated by Tibetan gold 13mm spacer discs. Each bead is framed with Tibetan gold bead caps. I used large chunky 18mm clear aqua glass beads handmade by the Krobo tribes-people. The lovely inlaid Tibetan Nepalese handmade turquoise and howlite brass pendant is approximately 80 x 34mm in size. The length is 19 1/2 inches and it is finished with a large gold aluminum double link chain, 8mm gold Tibetan round brass beads and a Tibetan gold plated "S" clasp. This beautiful ethnic bead necklace has a tribal style to it and will go with anything.

These beads are made by the Krobo Tribe which is located in Ghana, Africa. Powder glass beads are made by crushing glass to a fine powder and heating it so that the particles fuse together. The glass is then poured into clay molds, with a cassava leaf stem used to make the hole. They are baked in an oven and the glass fuses and the cassava stem burns up. This technique has been used in Africa for centuries.
