These little fabric bowls are a fun project to make to decorate your home or give as gifts. From this one pattern, you can make 3 different sizes/shapes of bowls, each with variations for the shapes of the top edges. They can be made by anyone who has basic sewing skills, willing to learn new techniques. The pattern has 10 pages of instructions, including full sized patterns for the 3 sizes of bowls with up to 3 variations within each size. Satin stitch seaming and couching yarn instructions are given in detail. Full color photos show steps in the construction process to help you be successful even if you have never done satin stitch seams or couched yarn before.
My bowls are made using dense polyester fusible fleece which makes the bowls stiff enough to hold their shape, and flexible enough to flip them to show the reverse side. They are great for using up leftover fabrics from other projects you have done. Bowls can be embellished with beads, funky fibers or specialty threads to show off your creativity. Full size patterns are included that can be printed onto card stock for templates. A great project for trying out new embellishment ideas and giving as gifts.
I began writing my patterns for those people who would rather do things themselves. Getting the process into words and photos is time consuming, and these patterns are for your personal use only. The patterns I write are copyrighted by me. You may make as many items as you wish for gift giving and your own use, but not for sale for profit. Contact me for permission to use items made from my patterns for use in fund raising efforts.
