String Choir Music in 3 easy parts.
by Cox Sisters
In this package you will find 5 delightful arrangements for the beginning violin group.
Though our music is worked around accompaniment chords;
in this volume, these chords have been used only in places where the group plays
in unison. As the pianist supports all three parts, she/he will automatically
see the chord structure.
These numbers have been built around the concept of putting your most unskilled members on the third part which we sometimes call the rhythm section. This secioon uses repetition of rhythm patterns and open strings as often as possible . This is a help to the violinist young with his/her instrument.
The second part is a little harder, and of course the first part carries the melody and needs your best skilled musicians.
The pianist can play the first rwo measures for an introduction as this helps to set the pace and helps the rhythm section to hear their pattern. The pianist helps the group to stay together in their timing and intonation.
It is wise to have a director in front of your group, usually the lead violinist.
This is a valuable tool with which to begin an exciting new group that can not only encourage folks to use music skill for the Lord; but is can give a wonderful new dimension to your music program.
