Lucky Shamrock Sun Catcher

by DancingRainbows

The Shamrock, also known as "white clover", is one of the most recognized symbols of the Irish, especially on St. Patrick's Day.
Occasionally a fourth leaflet will occur in a bed of Shamrocks creating a "four-leaf clover" and is said to bring good luck to the person who discovers it.

Hang me in your sunny window so I can delight you with rainbows dancing around the room.

This Lucky Shamrock was created by wire wrapping an exquisite 63mm Asfour Faceted Long Drop Crystal in a criss-cross pattern, with Green and Gold Artisan Wire. Asfour Crystals are manufactured in Egypt.

Dangling from the bottom of the suncatcher is a four-leaf shamrock which I have formed from Artisan Wire.

I have created a free-form hanger from Gold Artisan wire and have included a Green and Gold Lampwork Glass oval bead. The oval Lampwork bead measures 16mm x 11mm.

The free-form hanger measures approx 2 1/2". The bead area and the shamrock measures approx 4 1/2". The over-all length of the sun catcher measures approx 7".
