knit pattern// Primavera Shawl, Fiercehook, stockinette, women's shawl, poncho, cover up, overhead shawl

by FierceHook

THIS IS A KNITTING PATTERN ONLY SENT VIA PDF AFTER PURCHASE
The Primavera Shawl is inspired by one of my favorite pieces of art by Italian Renaissance painter, Sandro Botticelli in 1482. La Primavera--which means "Spring", is among the greatest works at the Uffizi Museum in Florence, Italy.

This garment is knitted bottom up in one flat panel, then folded in half and seamed with a 3-needle bind off worked along a portion of the top edge on the right side to create an accent seam, leaving an opening of the head. It can be worn multiple ways as both an asymmetrical over the head shawl or poncho.
