Bedlington terrier dog - Ideal Unique gift for any dog lover.
He is an extraordinarily game and speedy little terrier, and is endowed with great intelligence and affection. He is not a quarrelsome dog by any means but if attacked he will lose no time in showing his fighting capabilities. The name Bedlington was given to him in 1825 by a certain John Aynsley: before this time he was known as the Rothbury or Northern counties Fox terrier. He was not officially recognised by the Kennel Club until 1873.
In the 1920s and 30s C Francis Wardle was a famous canine artist in England. His ability to capture each breed of dog is quite remarkable and these wonderful drawings give a focal point to any room.
This is matted (mounted) in black mount and ready to give as a wonderful present.
Size is 10" x 8"
Please note the description on the back of this print is of another breed of dog.
