Peruvian Opal Necklace and Earrings Set

Oval and round Peruvian pink opals decorate your neck with delicate shade of pink and accents of black. I designed this necklace to be a Y necklace showing off the little pendant of an oval opal surrounded by silver filled wire and round opal beads. A pewter toggle clasp makes this necklace 18" long. The earrings have three round opals wrapped in silver filled wire and dangle from sterling silver French hook earrings. The earrings are 2" long. Silver filled wire is a thick layer of sterling silver bonded to a brass core just like gold filled wire that has been used by jewelry makers for years. Silver filled wire does not wear away like silver plated wire and can be worn everyday for years without losing the sterling silver finish. Care for silver filled wire as you would sterling silver because it will tarnish the same way. All attempts have been made to photograph these items correctly in the natural light. However, colors can/do vary with everyone's individual monitors.
