Swallows and Snowflake, Kasode, Print, archival paper . 13-18 century designs
Swallows and Snowflakes is the title. For many years I sold with an artist group in Union Square, San Francisco. My number one Japanese print to the Asian customers, was this 3 piece which definitely represented the workers of many countries. Guests in my portable gallery told me that it is common to see similar outfits in use today throughout Asia. The Swallowtail and Snow pattern is used in the early 13-18 century, especially in wall design. The woven skirt would probably be of an imported warm fabric, and the trousers of a sturdy material.
This print is on archival paper. The set includes ALL 8 of the 7 x 9 kimono images. There are about 500 of each left.
I did paint other kimono inspired paintings, that are on my web site www.loeyart.com. I still have some of the originals of these kimono prints..ask, as not on my web site.
