Black represents melanoma, a form of skin cancer. The American Cancer Society states that melanoma makes up for less than 5% of skin cancers found, but it is the deadliest form of skin cancer.

I designed these bracelets at the request of a dear friend who recently lost her mom to cancer; in 2011 we raised nearly $1,000 by selling these bracelets.
