by PetitPoulailler

Vintage 1983 Howard Pyle Story Time Lithographs Featuring 'A Sense of Scarlet'

A beautiful paper featuring two lithographs by Howard Pyle, gleaned from a damaged a 1983 reference book on children's book illustrators.

The originals of these illustrations were included in Harper's Monthly, February 1907 and February 1908, and were part of Pyle's series with Harper's. Their captions and the stories they are taken from are -

'A Figure to Provoke Tears', A Sense of Scarlet, 1907

and

'The Officers Would Be Waiting Until She Should Appear', Doña Victoria, 1908

The 2-sided paper measures 8.25" x 11" (21x28 cm) and is clean and smooth, with no tears, folds, creases, or marks. Either work would be marvelous framed or perhaps you'll use these as backgrounds or as part of your art.

You are purchasing an original 1983 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
