Fairy Ring Mushrooms 1884 Victorian Mordecai Cubitt Cooke Engraved Botanical Antique Chromolithograph, Pl 14

by PetitPoulailler

Gleaned from an 1884 Victorian botanical reference on mushrooms and other fungi, here is a beautiful botanical chromolithograph from Mordecai Cubitt Cooke, featuring three beautiful mushrooms -

Wood Woollyfoot [Marasmius peronatus]
Agaricus esculentus [Inedible, non-poisonous]
Scotch Bonnet or Fairy Ring Mushroom [Marasmius oreades]

The heavy paper is blank on its reverse, measures 4.5" x 6.5" (11x17 cm) and shows a gentle tanning to betray its 130+ years. The paper is clean and smooth, the colors are bright and clear, and the paper is without tears, marks, folds, or creases.

This is a beautiful paper to frame, a great gift for that 'shroom lover you love; perfect for card and tag creations, scrap-book page making, collage.

You are purchasing an original 1884 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
