Leopard Shark 1930 Antique Hashime Murayama Natural History Lithograph, Pl 256

by PetitPoulailler

'Seldom does the Leopard Shark exceed five feet in length. It is not related to the great white shark, or "man-water", that occasionally has injured bathers along the Pacific coast. Black bars across its back and upper sides distinguish it from the dangerous species.'

Here is a handsome ocean lithograph signed by Hashime Murayama from the 1930 National Geographic major work, 'Book of Fishes', and featuring the Leopard Shark.

Color-rich and vibrant, a wonderful study to frame or perhaps these will be wonderful additions to your at-the-ready ephemera supply.

The heavy paper shows little tanning, is clean and without creases, folds, marks, or tears and measures 6.75" x 10" (17x25 cm). The lithography is bold and strong and the colors are ocean-side color washed and clear.

Perfect to frame for your beach house decor, frame and gift to reassure the shark-ophobe you love ... ideal for card and tag creations, scrap-book page making, collage. Add to that ever-growing but never big enough ephemera supply you jealously guard.

You are purchasing an original 1930 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
