Mezereon 1882 Victorian F Edward Hulme Antique Botanical Chromolithograph

by PetitPoulailler

Here is a lovely Victorian wildflower chromolithograph from Edward Hulme, gleaned from his 1882 English botanical reference and featuring the poisonous Eurasian ornamental shrub-

Mezereon

Frederick Edward Hulme (English botanist/artist; 1843-1930) was known as a teacher, artist, and amateur botanist. He was the Professor of Freehand and Geometrical Drawing at King's College, London from 1886. His most famous work was a magnificent nine-volume set on wild flowers.

The heavy paper is blank on its reverse, measures 5" x 7.5" (13x20 cm), and is smooth and shows little tanning. The paper is clean and smooth, the colors are vivid and clear, the corners are sharp, and there are no tears, marks, creases, or folds.

This is a gorgeous study to frame and gift for your favorite garden lover, fantastic to use in your art - card and tag creations, collage, scrap-book page making.

You are purchasing an original 1882 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
