The New Boat 1927 Antique H Armstrong Roberts Childhood Memories Rotogravure, Pl 192

by PetitPoulailler

Capturing childhood's sweetest memories - a wonderful day spent with Grandpa, that dear Old Salt, spinning stories about his days at sea and helping build a new toy sail boat for you - caught in a 1927 rotogravure by H. Armstrong Roberts.

Photographer and entrepreneur, H. Armstrong Roberts - the patriarch of the Roberts Photography legacy. A very talented photographer, Roberts will probably be best remembered for creating one of the first stock photo agencies -

In crisp black and white, the photograph shows the young boy (girl?), watches patiently as the old man fixes the rigging on the new boat. And the little one - striped overall pants rolled up, crisp sailor collar, bare-footed, hair in the sweet bowl-cut style of the day - precious!

Captioned 'The New Boat', the rotogravure is in wonderful condition - no mars or lines to be seen. Perfect for your art, darling to frame! The heavy paper measures 7" x 9.125 (18x23 cm) and there are no tears, folds, creases, or marks.

You are purchasing an original 1927 rotogravure and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class mail.
