William Tell, The Hero of Switzerland 1927 Antique Victor Perard Folk Tale Lithograph

by PetitPoulailler

No caption necessary!

Everyone recognizes William Tell's son, faithfully believing his father's aim will be true. A charming Victor Perard lithograph gleaned from a 1927 collection of children's poems, stories, fables, and art. The story of William Tell and his crossbow is one that everyone knows. ... or at least we all know that 'Shooting The Apple Off His Son's Head' part.

Color-washed softly, the sweet soft lines do not betray the tension of Tell's noble feat. Perard's work is lovely and simple and remains timeless.

The heavy paper is blank on its reverse, measures 7" x 9.125" (18x23cm), and shows little tanning to betray it's 80+ years. The paper is clean and without folds, marks, tears, or creases. A delightful subject to frame and gift for your young archer or adventurer ... wonderful for your art - card and tag creations, scrap-book page making, collage.

You are purchasing an original 1927 paper and it does not have watermarks. I will send this to you flat, protected, and by USPS 1st Class Mail.
