Multiplying Losses: Little Children, a small meditation on war 9"x6"

by Quilts on the Wild Side

Kids are not the enemy, yet they die when civilians are targeted in war.
This very small quilted artwork is a memorial to the children sacrificed in armed conflict.

One hundred tiny patches of fabric symbolize the thousands of Iraqi children who perished during the Iraq War.

This is the third Multiplying Losses piece I made after reading a newspaper article about the 655, 000 civilian deaths in Iraq between 2003 and 2006. I hope you will also view "Bright Spirits" and "Crazy War Quilt".

100% of the sale price will be donated to Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders.
