I am truly a ‘Southern Belle’ at heart (born in Florida), even though I grew up in Sunny Southern California. My wonderful mother taught me and my five other siblings how to mend and sew. We could all sew on a button or hem a pair of pants at an early age. My mother owned one of the first electronic sewing machines made – Singer Touch Tronic 2000. It was a great machine during its heyday and still a good machine even by modern-day standards. She ultimately gave the machine to me and although I have upgraded a few times since then, I still have that very machine. I have one rule – NEVER get rid of any sewing machine! You simply continue to add to your existing inventory!

Sewing is a very big part of my life. It is something that I am extremely passionate about. I spend hours in my sewing room and quite often will lose track of time. Sewing relaxes me – a concept that not many people understand. But, if you are a person who also loves to sew – you certainly do understand!

Fabric, fabric, fabric! I have yards and yards of wonderful fabric and choose my pieces very carefully. I love all types of fabric: cotton, silk, wool, linen, polyester (the years have done wonders to the progression of polyester), nylon, synthetics, etc. Nostalgic/vintage prints, calico, gorgeous batiks, gingham checks, homespun checks – I have them all. There is nothing quite like finding the perfect piece of fabric for your sewing and/or craft project.

I have always enjoyed creating the perfect garment or specialty gift item. There was a time when I did quite a bit of sewing for proms and weddings, but now I focus on crafting and creating those special personalized items utilizing my sewing and embroidery machines.

I hope you take a moment to browse through the available items in my shop and find something that you absolutely love and cannot live without!
