Peace Necklace, Two in One Necklace, Cherokee Language, Handcrafted Jewelry, Turquoise and Silver, Gemstone Jewelry, Corn Bead Jewelry
This 58mm white wood bead is pyrographed by hand with the Cherokee syllabary to communicate "tohi". "Tohi" is the Cherokee word for peace and balance. This powerful meditation is suspended on a 23" necklace featuring 7 Selu beads to represent the 7 clans and the strength and love of community. Selu beads were said to be the tears of Cherokee that fell to the ground and grew in remembrance on the Trail of Tears. This necklace can be worn alone or a with the pendant---like getting two necklaces in one! The sparkle of silver cut glass beads illuminates the beauty of this simple necklace! The hand wire wrapped pendant is wire wrapped with silverplated copper wire. The length of the pendant from the tip of the bail to the silverplated feather is 4". The hand pyrographed focal is also varnished to protect the carving and for durability.
