Linocut print abstract female figure
This abstract female figure is a hand pulled linocut relief print, from a small edition of 21. Part of my 5 piece Girls of Summer series. Done from 6 hand-carved linoleum blocks, inked and printed one by one using a small, hand-cranked press. I use eco-friendly Daniel Smith soy-based inks. The image area is 3" x 5", printed on 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" BFK Rives archival printmaking paper, and is pencil-signed and numbered.
Because my linoleum block prints, etchings and aquatints are pulled by hand, each print varies slightly, in effect making each individual print an original, unlike a “reproduction”, where every print is exactly the same. Colors on your monitor may vary. My prints are released/sold at random. Specific number requests not available. This print is subject to incremental price increases as the edition sells out.
Unlike a reproduction (gicleé, offset, computer print-outs), this image was conceived and executed solely as a relief print — it is not a "reproduction" of an artwork originally created in another medium, such as a painting or a drawing.

Note: because of the thickness of the paper I use to print on, this print will be shipped flat, not rolled. The print will be sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard, and further protected with archival paper.
